This web site (haverhill-twintown.org) is owned and managed by the Haverhill Twin Towning and District Association (HTTA). We are a not-for-profit organisation and not a limited company.

This privacy policy sets out how HTTA uses and protects any information that you give when you use this website.

HTTA is fully committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Any data you provide by which you can be identified when using this website will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement and the Data Protection Act 1998.

HTTA may change this policy from time to time by updating this page. You should check this page from time to time to ensure that you are happy with any changes. This policy is effective from 1st June 2017.

All information submitted to the HTTA web site is private and only the committee members of HTTA can access them. The only exception is a unique security ID.

What is a security ID?

Sometimes called a Web Beacon; essentially, this is a large random number which is generated by our server and stored against your email address. We use this number (seen as a set of numbers and letters) when we send you emails or when you respond to links in the emails. We can then know it is you and process your request accordingly. This help guard against people who collect emails for spamming.

What information we store about you

We store the following information:

  • Your email address and the date and time you give it to us (eg. when you subscribed to our newsletters)
  • A Security ID (see above)

We require this information for sending newsletters and information about forthcoming events.

How we use cookies and your IP address

A cookie is a small file which is stored on your computer's hard drive. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual. We do not store any tracking details on the cookie.

We also use Google Analytics, that use your IP address for statistical analysis purposes about web page traffic. We do this for all visitors to our web sites.

Our website contains links to other websites of interest. However, once you have used these links to leave our site, you should note that we do not have any control over other websites. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this privacy statement. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy statement applicable to the website in question.

Selling Your Details

We DO NOT sell or pass on your personal information to third parties in any way.

You may request details of personal information which we hold about you under the Data Protection Act 1998. A small fee of £2 will be payable. If you would like a copy of the information held on you please contact us using the 'contact us' page.

If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please contact us as soon as possible. We will promptly correct any information found to be incorrect.
