All information submitted to the HTTA web site is private and only the committee members of HTTA can access them. The only exception is a unique security ID.
What is a security ID?
Sometimes called a Web Beacon; essentially, this is a large random number which is generated by our server and stored against your email address. We use this number (seen as a set of numbers and letters) when we send you emails or when you respond to links in the emails. We can then know it is you and process your request accordingly. This help guard against people who collect emails for spamming.
What information we store about you
We store the following information:
- Your email address and the date and time you give it to us (eg. when you subscribed to our newsletters)
- A Security ID (see above)
We require this information for sending newsletters and information about forthcoming events.
A cookie is a small file which is stored on your computer's hard drive. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual. We do not store any tracking details on the cookie.
We also use Google Analytics, that use your IP address for statistical analysis purposes about web page traffic. We do this for all visitors to our web sites.
